A note from our team

A collaborative, evidence-based therapy experience — grounded in clinical expertise, guided by true care.

Therapy should be accessible and affordable. We stay in-network with most major insurances and keep expanding — because quality mental health care shouldn't be something you budget for.

Who we work with

Therapy that meets you where your story actually begins.

Everyone is welcome

Individuals navigating any of life's challenges — anxiety, relationships, transitions, the things that brought you here.

You don't need a particular identity, background, or label to belong here. We see teens and adults across NY and NJ — anyone looking for thoughtful, evidence-based care is who we built this practice for.

We also bring deep training and lived perspective to a few specific communities, in case those nuances are part of what you're carrying.

SPEACIALTIES WE GO DEEPER ON

Additional clinical depth and lived experience — not a checklist of who can come.

01

BIPOC & the global majority

Racialized stress, cultural complexity, and the kind of nuance that doesn't need translating before the work can begin.

02

Immigrants & children of immigrants

Belonging, language, family expectations, intergenerational grief, and the quiet labor of holding multiple worlds at once.

03

Queer & trans community

Affirming care across coming out, identity, relationships, and the everyday weight of moving through a world that wasn't built for you.

04

Partners & relationships

Couples and chosen partnerships of any structure — working through communication, repair, intimacy, and the patterns you keep tripping over together.

Who we work with

From the things that hum quietly in the background to the ones that keep you up at night. Most of our clients are working with several of these at once — that's expected, and welcome.

What we help people work through.

01 — ANXIETY

The racing mind & tight chest

Worry that won't quiet down, perfectionism, panic, social anxiety, and the bone-deep exhaustion of always bracing for impact.

02 — DEPRESSION

Heaviness, numbness, going through the motions

Low mood, lost motivation, disconnection from the things you used to love. We treat depression as a meaningful signal — not a personal failing.

03 — TRAUMA & C-PTSD

What lives in the body after

Single-event trauma, complex PTSD, attachment wounding, and the layered effects of growing up in unsafe or unpredictable systems.

04 — GRIEF & LOSS

Endings that don't fit on a card

The deaths we expected, the ones we didn't, and the quieter griefs — of relationships, places, communities, and former selves.

05 — IDENTITY & BELONGING

Coming home to yourself

Queerness, race, immigration, family roles, gender — making sense of who you've been told to be and who you actually are.

06 — EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING

The follow-through gap

ADHD-informed coaching for planning, task initiation, and the architecture of getting things done without burning out.

Our approach

Evidence-based, trauma-informed, and tailored to you.

We don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Your treatment plan is shaped by what's bringing you in, how you process the world, and what kind of care has — and hasn't — worked for you before.

We integrate the modalities below thoughtfully. Most clients work across two or three at once, with the balance shifting as the work deepens.

CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Practical tools for the thought-feeling-behavior loops that keep you stuck.

DBT

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills.

EMDR

EMDR

A structured way to process trauma memories so they stop running the show.

IFS

Internal Family Systems

Meeting the protective and wounded parts of yourself with curiosity, not judgment.

ST

Somatic therapy

What the body knows that the mind hasn't put into words yet.

PDT

Psychodynamic

The roots, the patterns, and how your earliest relationships still echo.

ADHD

Executive function coaching

ADHD-informed strategies for the gap between intention and action.

EFT

EFT & attachment-focused couples work

Emotionally Focused Therapy for any relationship structure — repairing ruptures, deepening intimacy, and rewriting the attachment patterns underneath the fight.

How it works

From your first message to a regular rhythm — what to expect.

01

Reach out

Send a short note through the form, or book directly on Zocdoc. We aim to reply within two business days.

02

Free 15-20 min consult

A no-pressure phone or video call to talk about what's bringing you in and whether we feel like a good fit.

03

Intake & plan

Your first full session is an intake. By session two or three, we'll have a shared sense of direction.

04

Weekly rhythm

Most clients meet weekly for 45 or 60 minutes — all virtual, from wherever you feel most yourself.

Most of our clients use insurance and pay only a copay — typically $0 to $40 per session. For everyone else, we offer a generous self-pay sliding scale.

FAQ

Questions, answered honestly.

If you don't see what you're looking for, just ask in the consult call — no question is too small or too logistical.

  • We're in-network with several major plans through Zocdoc and direct contracts (Aetna, Cigna, United/Optum, Oxford, Empire BCBS, Oscar). If yours isn't listed, we can usually help you use out-of-network benefits — most PPO plans reimburse 50–80% of our fee.

  • Most clients notice some relief in the first 4–6 sessions, often around having a regular place to put things. Deeper change — patterns shifting, old wounds settling — usually unfolds over months. We'll check in regularly on what's working.

  • Yes — well-designed studies consistently show telehealth therapy is as effective as in-person for most concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma work. It also removes commute time, weather, and the "I'm too tired to go" barrier that ends a lot of treatment early.

  • A lot of our clients have. Tell us about it on the consult — what felt off, what you wished had happened — and we'll talk honestly about whether this work might land differently. Fit matters, and you're allowed to be picky.

  • We don't prescribe, but we work closely with psychiatrists and psychiatric NPs we trust and can refer you out. Medication and therapy are often more effective together than either alone, and we'll think it through with you.

  • Outpatient telehealth isn't designed for acute crisis care — if you're in immediate danger, please call or text 988 or go to your nearest ER. Between sessions, we'll build a safety plan together so you have clear steps and resources when things get heavy.
